"This is our second full year where Ed and his team have been taking care of our lawn and yard. We have tried 2-3 other companies. What I like best about Ed is that he is very respectful of our home and family, detailed, organized and a genuinely nice person. They do a great job every time and I couldn't recommend them more. Our lawn has never looked better!"

The price of lawn care depends on the size of your lawn, the condition of your lawn, and what services you need. Generally speaking, though, lawn care can cost anywhere from a few hundred dollars per year to a few thousand dollars per year.

For example, if you just need someone to mow your lawn once a week, that will usually be less expensive than if you also need someone to fertilize and weed your lawn. And if your lawn is in poor condition, it will likely cost more to bring it back to good health than if it’s in good condition.

So the best way to get an accurate estimate for how much lawn care will cost is to contact a few local businesses and ask for quotes.

The frequency at which you mow your grass will depend on the variety of grass, the time of year, how often you water it, and how much shade it receives. Some general guidelines to follow are as follows:

Frequency: Mow when the grass reaches 3 inches in height.
Mowing Techniques: For a clean cut, make sure to mow in the same direction that the blade of grass is growing. Try not to scalp the grass by cutting off too much of the blade at one time.

It is best to avoid mowing when it is wet or during periods of drought.

Professional lawn care companies typically use a process called aeration to prepare a lawn for winter. This involves using small machines to pierce the soil and remove plugs of dirt, which helps to improve drainage and allows air, water, and nutrients to reach the roots of the grass. overseeding is often done at the same time, which helps to fill in any bald spots or thin areas in the lawn. Finally, a winterizing fertilizer is applied to help the grass stay healthy during the cold months.

Fall is a great time to get a yard cleanup, before winter sets in. Here are some tips to make sure your property is prepared:

    1. Remove all leaves and debris from the yard and garden. This will help prevent mold growth and pests over the winter.
    2. Trim any dead branches from trees and shrubs.
    3. Store away any gardening tools or furniture.
    4. Winterize your irrigation system, if you have one.
    5. Cover any plants or trees that may be susceptible to cold weather damage with burlap or straw mulch. This will help prevent erosion and keep the soil healthy.
    6. Finally, clean out your gutters and downspouts to ensure melting snow does not get backed up and damage your roof.

To aerate a lawn means to use a tool to poke holes in the soil so that air, water, and nutrients can reach the roots of your grass. This is usually done once or twice a year, depending on the climate and the type of grass you have.

Aerating your lawn can help improve drainage, reduce waterlogging, and increase the overall health of your grass. It’s also a good way to get rid of any thatch build-up that might be blocking air and water from reaching the roots.
